Maui’s coffee scene is as rich and diverse as its natural beauty. Whether you’re looking for a quick caffeine fix or a place to relax and soak in the island vibe, these 10 coffee shops have become my favorites over time. Here’s my list of the top 10 coffee spots in Maui, listed in no particular order.

1. Hawaiian Village Coffee Shop

Conveniently located in Kahana across from the Bank of Hawaii and McDonald’s, Hawaiian Village Coffee Shop is a cozy and welcoming spot for a quick pick-me-up. Whether you’re passing through on your way to the beach or looking for a leisurely break, their consistently great coffee and friendly service never disappoint.

2. Bad Ass Coffee

Though the beloved Lahaina Harbor location was lost in the fire, Bad Ass Coffee still serves up its bold, flavorful brews at its Honokowai shop, located right across the street from the Honokowai Beach Park. It’s the perfect place to grab a cup and enjoy the laid-back west side atmosphere.

3. Wailuku Coffee Company

With locations in both downtown Wailuku and Haiku, Wailuku Coffee Company is a consistent favorite. The Wailuku shop is now easier to visit with the new public parking lot, and the Haiku location next to the post office brings the same quality coffee and friendly vibe. Akamai Coffee’s three locations across the island make it incredibly convenient.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick cup at the drive-thru in the Home Depot parking lot or relaxing at their South Kihei or Wailea locations, Akamai delivers quality coffee every time.

Each location has its own vibe, but all share the same dedication to great brews.

Located on 444 Hana Highway, Maui Coffee Roasters has earned its place as a go-to coffee spot. Despite how busy it can get, the excellent coffee is worth the wait.
